Miss Maria, Preschool Director

Miss Maria started teaching preschool in 1987 while she was attending Loyola Marymount University. She received her teaching credential in 1990 and taught elementary school in San Diego County for 9 ½ years. During this period, she took classes toward her administrative credential from both CSUSM and National University.

Maria is happily married to a Long Beach Fireman. When they moved to Long Beach in 1999, she took some time to stay at home and raise her three boys. In 2006, she was hired as a preschool teacher at the school. In July 2007, she became the director of Discovery Preschool. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, scrap booking, camping and reading.
